Welcome to my Website.  My practice is two fold from establishing the Public Art company Sculpture Works in 2004 with Bernie Rutter [Printmaker] to developing my own sculpture practice for exhibition.
My Public Art practice has been my core activity for over 20 years where I have worked with a variety of public spaces and audiences creating dynamic site- specific sculptures that capture the essence of each place and audience I work with.
Through the structuring of appropriate materials and working with a variety of fabrication processes each artwork is made to both visually and physically enhance its location.
My practice in sculpture is informed by a formal and critical knowledge of constructed form, materials, processes and scale. Making is central to how we work it defines both the aesthetic and contextual.
A central feature of our public art practice is the interrelationship between us as lead artists  / facilitators and the artwork, the context (location – site, social, geographical aspects etc) and the public (audience(s) /participants).
My practice is based between Barna in West Cork and Wirksworth in Derbyshire where i have established a fabrication workshop and design studio.
I have over the last eight years  been consecrating on developing my own sculpture practice, I have had the opportunity to formulate six solo exhibitions at Derby City Museum and Art Gallery, New Court Gallery, Repton. Derbyshire, the Doswell Gallery, Roscarberry, Siamsa Tire Gallery, Tralee,  Working Artists Studio Gallery, Ballydehob and the LHQ Gallery, Cork.
During this period I have created a body of sculpture works which have been exhibited in gallery venues in the UK and Ireland, under the titles ‘Along the Western Shore’,  ‘Bollain’ and ‘In my time’
